ETHIOPIAN HEROES AND HEROINES WELCOMED IN TIGRAY

Just like most Tigrayans that were separated from their loved ones for more than two years due to the inhumane embargo imposed on Tigray, it was great to see Ethiopian heroes and heroines united with their families and loved ones. It also reminded us that the the greatest asset of any country, is its people-every lost life or separation is a loss to Ethiopia.

Tigrayan athletes through their hard work and dedication went out to the world and made all Ethiopians proud. It was a big injustice and shame to pay them back by tormenting their families and turning Tigray into the biggest prison the world has ever known. The unjust war, killings and blockade imposed on the people of Tigray is a crime against humanity that will  haunt Ethiopia for many years. However, we should not forget that Tigray is still occupied by Eritrean killers, and their killing spree is still going on unabated. The plight of Tigrayans hasn’t ended yet, and the traumatised Tigrayans have been abandoned by the world to fend for themselves.

 

Hopefully things will get better for everyone and not just a section of Tigrayans due to their status. Let’s all thank the Tigray regional athletics federation leaders and athletes for have set the bar. Thus, love and unity is what will heal Ethiopia, and not endless wars or ethnic superiority.

Just like how politicians love security and to be guarded , also Ethiopians of all walks deserve to live in an environment were there’s peace and security.
